A quaint pizzeria

Cuckoo trattoria and pizzeria, in Coombs, on Vancouver Island is a little slice of bliss. Lets just say I fell in love with this spot immediately. I took these photos when I was on a little summer vacation in 2012 on Vancouver Island with a good friend of mine. It was a ridiculously fun trip, we went antique hunting everyday, ate at some great spots, rode bikes down by the old train stations under the summer sun and went on to explore the Island with some new friends on their motorcycles. We were even lucky enough to experience a moment of prayer and silence with a buddhist in town and witnessed a beautiful ceremony. If your on the Island or west coast of Canada I suggest you check Coombs out, it is the cutest little market and this is where Cuckoo is. The high ceilings, windows, open concept kitchen, laid back atmosphere is perfect. I love the mixed and matched furniture throughout the restaurant, this place is stunning. It is so large and attached to a banquet type room, that gives you a feeling of old and new along with a serene pond featuring buddha figures at either end, and the food, well it is so fresh and overly delicious, I could go back there right this very minute!
